Darla Jade’s catchy new single is called ‘Can’t Run Forever’. It builds slowly, from the glitchy, thin-textured synth work of the track’s opening moments, into a melody-driven final chorus that is simultaneously minimalistic and perfectly layered. On the track, she says: “I had a lot going on last year, and I realised that I tend to bottle up my feelings and essentially just run away from my issues, so this song is all about me addressing that and trying to get myself to 'just face it' as it all 'catches up eventually'.” Her second EP is due for release later in 2022.
